The California Rural Indian Health Board, Inc. is devoted to the needs and interests of the Indians of Rural California. It is a network of Tribal Health Programs that is controlled and sanctioned by Indian people and their Tribal Governments. CRIHB develops and delivers policies, plans, programs, and services that elevate the health status and social conditions of our People; that develop capabilities within local programs, that communicate, educate, and advocate on shared interests and that organizes support for common goals. It does this through program development, legislation and advocacy, organization development, financial resources management, training and technical assistance, and networking and consensus building.

Families USA is a national nonprofit, non-partisan organization dedicated to the achievement of high-quality, affordable health care for all Americans. Working at the national, state, and community levels, they have earned a national reputation as an effective voice for health care consumers for over 20 years.

 

Greenlining Institute
The Greenlining Institute is a multi-ethnic public policy, research and advocacy institute. The health team promotes policies that empower communities of color and other disadvantaged groups in the benefits of good health and healthy environments through multi-ethnic leadership development and advocating on behalf of these underserved populations.

 

Health Access
Health Access California is a statewide 501(c)(4) non-profit organization founded in 1987 and dedicated to achieving quality, affordable health care for all Californians. For more than fifteen years, Health Access has played a significant role in leading the movement for health care reform in California. Health Access has promoted universal health care proposals and advocated for specific incremental reforms that promise to provide immediate health care services to California's most vulnerable populations.

Latino Coalition for a Healthy California
The Latino Coalition for a Healthy California is a statewide Latino health policy and advocacy organization committed to initiating and advancing policies that will increase access to health services and build healthy Latino communities in California. Created in 1992 to address the lack of a Latino voice in health policy debates, LCHC has flourished into a state model for community-based health policy development and advocacy. LCHC is guided by a Policy Committee comprised of California's leading Latino health care experts, researchers, clinic directors, health officials, professionals, administrators and policy makers, and health advocates. Under the direction of the Policy Committee, LCHC assesses community needs, identifies community values and incorporates community input into the development of health care policies.

A comprehensive collection of resources that covers the latest data sources and research on racial and ethnic disparities in health care, including information on access and quality, the health care workforce, and public opinion. Diversity Health Institute Clearinghouse (Australia)
The Diversity Health Institute Clearinghouse is a central access point for information on multicultural health in Australia. Its aim is to bring together the myriad of work conducted in the area nationally. Cultural competence, refugee health, nutrition, sexual health, drugs and alcohol, mental health, ageing, and disability are just some the issues encompassed by the Clearinghouse's brief. Priority listing is given to information that is relevant to a wide range of people, is publicly accessible, and produced by reputable organisations or individuals.

 

Immigrant Health Policy Reference Library
This compendium summarizes data and research on immigrants’ health coverage and access to care. The library also includes a list of organizations that conduct analysis on the impact of major health policies on immigrants and presents research on specific populations, including Latino, African and Asian immigrants.
