The California Endowment, established in May 1996, is a private foundation located in Woodland Hills, California. The foundation's mission is to improve access to affordable, quality health care for underserved individuals and to promote fundamental improvements in the health status of all Californians. A regional orientation for foundation activities has been adopted to ensure access to all constituents and to improve the foundation's understanding of the unique needs of the diverse people and communities of California.

The California Wellness Foundation, established in 1992, is an independent, private foundation. TCWF's mission is to improve the health of the people of California by making grants for health promotion, wellness education and disease prevention programs.

Kaiser Permanente exists to provide affordable, high-quality health care services to improve the health of their members and the communities they serve. Founded in 1945, Kaiser Permanente is a not-for-profit group practice prepayment program headquartered in Oakland, CA. It serves the health care needs of more than 8.3 million members in nine states and the District of Columbia. Improving the health of the communities they serve is a core principle of Kaiser Permanente. Through their community benefit program, they have fostered the improved health of the communities they serve since their inception more than 60 years ago.

The San Francisco Foundation, established in 1948, is a community foundation located in San Francisco, California. The mission of The San Francisco Foundation is to mobilize resources and act as a catalyst for change to build strong communities, foster civic leadership, and promote philanthropy.

The California Department of Mental Health, Office of Multicultural Services (DMH OMS), provides leadership direction to the Department of Mental Health in promoting and establishing culturally and linguistically competent mental health services within the public mental health system through actions targeted both within and external to DMH. A key statewide initiative of the Office is the California Reducing Disparities Project (CRDP), whose goal is to improve access, quality of care, and increase positive outcomes for racial, ethnic and cultural communities. Launched in 2009, the CRDP is a two-year statewide Prevention and Early Intervention effort utilizing $3 million dollars in Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) state administrative funding.

optimizing the health and well-being of the people in California.

The California HealthCare Foundation, based in Oakland, California, is a non-profit philanthropic organization whose mission is to expand access to affordable, quality health care for underserved individuals and communities, and to promote fundamental improvements in the health status of the people of California.

Lucille Packard Foundation for Children’s Health, based in Palo Alto, California, works to elevate the priority of children's health, and increase the quality and accessibility of children's health care through leadership and direct investment. Kidsdata.org, a project of the Foundation, offers more than 300 indicators on the health and well being of children in communities across California.
