The California Endowment, established in May 1996, is a private foundation located in Woodland Hills, California. The foundation's mission is to improve access to affordable, quality health care for underserved individuals and to promote fundamental improvements in the health status of all Californians. A regional orientation for foundation activities has been adopted to ensure access to all constituents and to improve the foundation's understanding of the unique needs of the diverse people and communities of California.

The California Wellness Foundation, established in 1992 is an independent, private foundation. TCWF's mission is to improve the health of the people of California by making grants for health promotion, wellness education and disease prevention programs.

The San Francisco Foundation, established in 1948 is a community foundation located in San Francisco, California. The mission of The San Francisco Foundation is to mobilize resources and act as a catalyst for change to build strong communities, foster civic leadership, and promote philanthropy.

The California HealthCare Foundation, based in Oakland, California, is a non-profit philanthropic organization whose mission is to expand access to affordable, quality health care for underserved individuals and communities, and to promote fundamental improvements in the health status of the people of California.

Blue Shield of California Foundation, established in 1981 is a not for profit charitable foundation located in San Francisco, California. The mission of the Blue Shield of California Foundation is to make a significant contribution to the health of Californians through innovative research, education, programs and financial support.

The California Consumer Protection Foundation was established in 1991 by the Superior Court of the State of California to administer and distribute approximately $4 million remaining from a consumer class action lawsuit, State of California v. Levi Strauss & Co. Since then, the Foundation has received and administered a number of other consumer trust funds. Since its inception, the Foundation has distributed over $20 million dollars to support a wide range of activities affecting consumers in many diverse fields such as health care, auto sales, consumer fraud, privacy, banking, finance, insurance, energy and telecommunications.

The Office of Minority Health (OMH) was created by U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in 1985 as a result of the Report of the Secretary's Task Force on Black and Minority Health. Under the direction of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Minority Health, OMH advises the Secretary and the Office of Public Health and Science (OPHS) on public health issues affecting American Indians and Alaska Natives, Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Other Pacific Islanders, Blacks/African Americans, and Hispanics/Latinos. The mission of OMH is to improve the health of racial and ethnic populations through the development of effective health policies and programs that help to eliminate disparities in health.

Founded in 1998 by 134 community organizations and Pacific Bell (now part of SBC Communications), ZeroDivide (formally the Community Technology Foundation of California) is an independent community foundation that works to meet the needs of California's underserved communities for full and equal access to basic and advanced telecommunications services, and their needs for knowledge carried by these services. ZeroDivide is dedicated to collaborative efforts toward bridging the "digital divide" in California's low-income, minority, limited-English speaking, seniors, immigrant, and disability communities.  CPEHN would like to thank ZeroDivide for providing funding for the development of CPEHN's Multicultural Health Web Portal.
