Communications Director
We are seeking a full time Communications Director who is a creative strategist and self-motivated collaborator with expertise leading messaging and communications strategies. The ideal candidate brings experience working with media, policy campaign experience, and a wide array of communications skills (social media, graphic design, project management, communications strategy, etc.). The next Communications Director will have a strong health equity lens, a keen eye for detail, and strong written and verbal communication skills. Above all, we are seeking a mission-driven leader who shares CPEHN’s commitment to health equity and racial justice.
This position may be based anywhere in California. CPEHN maintains physical offices in Oakland, Sacramento, and Los Angeles and has a hybrid work policy (air travel required). CPEHN has a mandatory up-to-date COVID-19 vaccine policy.

Senior Policy Director
The Senior Policy Director will lead the charge in shaping CPEHN’s policy research and analysis, with a focus on behavioral and oral health, along with other health initiatives, at the state and federal levels. They will spearhead CPEHN’s policy analysis initiatives alongside our policy, community advocacy, and communications staff, as well as senior leadership. This role will forge strong relationships with policymakers, community partners, and funders that will impactfully drive our mission forward!

Senior Legislative Advocate
The Senior Legislative Advocate is responsible for the development, management, and implementation of CPEHN’s state legislative, budgetary, and other advocacy initiatives. They will work closely across all staff to develop and lead CPEHN’s legislative, administrative, and budgetary advocacy including building and maintaining relationships with policymakers, community partners, and funders.
This position must be based in the Sacramento Metropolitan Area. CPEHN maintains physical offices in Oakland, Sacramento, and Los Angeles and has a hybrid work policy (air travel required). CPEHN has a mandatory up-to-date COVID-19 vaccine policy.

Central Valley Regional Organizer
The Central Valley (San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Merced, Madera, Fresno, Kings, Tulare, Kern counties) Regional Organizer is responsible for building community power and mobilizing regional communities. We are looking for someone who has expertise in community engagement and outreach or direct action organizing. Ideal candidates have extensive local experience and skills to mobilize communities on a variety of issues. They should be able to inspire and facilitate communities and individuals to achieve extraordinary things by working together. This position will be out in their community attending community meetings and events. Additionally, they will also plan and facilitate regional meetings. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned community-organizer who is looking to build community power regionally. This position will be part of a team of regional organizers working to build community power across California.

The Grants Manager is responsible for managing overall grant efforts by leading all grant related activities such as drafting proposals, supporting research, and being a thought partner on strategic grant opportunities.
