Data Scientist

The Data Scientist is responsible for the cleaning, assessment, analysis, and visualization of data. Specifically, identification of relevant datasets and their limitations, descriptive statistics and analysis, interpretation of health-related data; for the purpose of supporting policy research; evaluation of health equity measures and internal research activities. We are looking for someone to join our team who is passionate about health equity and working with communities of color. This is a unique opportunity for someone that can advance the depth and scope of CPEHN’s data analysis through a strong health equity lens while creating content as part of a team working to promote health equity for California’s communities of color.

This position may be based anywhere in California. CPEHN maintains physical offices in Oakland and Sacramento.

Associate Organizing Director

The Associate Organizing Director is responsible for developing, managing, and mobilizing CPEHN’s regional grassroots campaigns to advance health equity. They will provide direction for the overarching vision, goals, and strategies for CPEHN’s external engagement and issue campaigns. They are responsible for building long-term people power and strong and lasting community infrastructure including support for partners new to CPEHN’s issues. This position will collaborate closely with other program and policy staff to build people power across California. The Associate Organizing Director will guide outreach, advocacy, and mobilization and provide supervision and mentorship to CPEHN’s Regional Community Organizers.

This position may be based anywhere in California. CPEHN maintains physical offices in Oakland and Sacramento.

Central Valley Regional Organizer

The Central Valley (Bakersfield, Fresno, Madera, Modesto counties) Regional Organizer is responsible for building community power and mobilizing regional communities. We are looking for someone who has expertise in community engagement and outreach or direct action organizing. Ideal candidates have extensive local experience and skills to mobilize communities on a variety of issues. They should be able to inspire and facilitate communities and individuals to achieve extraordinary things by working together. This position will be out in their community attending community meetings and events. Additionally, they will also plan and facilitate regional meetings. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned community-organizer who is looking to build community power regionally. This position will be part of a team of regional organizers working to build community power across California.
